In 1959, in the small village of Purapuzha near Thodupuzha, Dr. K.A. Devasia Vazhuthanapillil — a former army man who had learned homeopathy through books — began giving free medicines to mentally challenged individuals who had no one else to help them.

What began as humble village service grew, over 67 years, into one of Kerala's most trusted homeopathic institutions. Today, three generations of his family continue the work — serving over 10 lakh patients from two branches in Thodupuzha and Pala.
